ABSTRACT: Evaluating the effectiveness of gamification in vocational training programs highlights the potential of game-based learning to enhance educational outcomes. This study aimed to assess how gamification improves student engagement and motivation, evaluate its impact on skill acquisition, and measure student satisfaction with gamified learning. A survey design was implemented to collect comprehensive data from students experiencing gamified vocational training. The sample size comprised 200 students from various vocational programs. Purposive sampling was used to select participants with exposure to gamified learning environments. The case study was conducted at the Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro, Ogun State, Nigeria. Findings indicated that gamification significantly increased student engagement and motivation, improved retention of skills and knowledge, and provided a more enjoyable learning experience. Students reported high levels of satisfaction with gamified training, appreciating the interactive and competitive elements. It was recommended that vocational training programs incorporate gamification techniques and continually refine these methods to keep pace with advancements in educational technology.
